Experience Type: Cooking Class

This guide will help you to set up a class or activity as an experience to start receiving bookings for your property. This setup can be used for any type of class.

Activities or Classes

  1. Login to https://activate.travelcurious.com
  2. Navigate to Experiences, and then Catalogue 
  3. Click on Create Experience
  4. Enter an experience Title
  5. Select Activities or Classes as the experience type, and click Next
  6. In the next steps, you will be asked to enter:
    1. Short Description
    2. Long Description
    3. Choose the Product Category (If the one you are after is not there, click on Create a new category without leaving the creation Wizard)
    4. Add an experience card and gallery images, which will be used in your experience page.
    5. Meeting Point: Where is the activity going to be delivered
    6. What's Included
    7. What's Not Included
    8. Toggle switch for Hotel Guests only (Applicable for experiences that cannot be booked by regular users)
    9. Select the confirmation method: by default, Instant
    10. Select the users that will receive notifications for this experience or add new ones clicking on "Add new account email"
    11. Reservations email that will be notified of each booking
    12. Choose "Per Time Slot" or "Per Participant" as Pricing Type depending on how you will be charging your guests. Particularly, if there will be different pricing depending on the participant type, or if you will sell it per ticket, in which case, you should select Per Time Slot.
    13. Select the payment method that best fits your requirements
    14. Create a new pricing schedule, including your max daily capacity
    15. Optional: for certain experiences like connecting rooms, you have the possibility to select "MultiDay Bookings" which will allow the guest to choose a From and To date in the activity page.
    16. Add Taxes & Fees: one or more to add on top or include in the price, in amount or percentage.
    17. Establish your Booking Window (how far in the future you want to receive bookings) and Stop Sale (when do you stop accepting bookings)
    18. Set a cancellation policy
    19. Add Things to Know that will enrich your experience content
    20. Optional: Accessibility Information
    21. Optional: Waivers
    22. Optional: Custom Questions. In experiences like booking upgrades, this feature should be on, and the questions asking guests to provide their name and booking reference should definitely be added.
    23. Optional: Extras
    24. Select Check in Type
    25. Click Finish and decide the publish mode: Active, Draft or Hidden.
