Creating a Product: Cooking Class

This guide will help you to set up a cooking class as a product to start receiving bookings for your property. This setup can be used for any type of classes.

Creating a meeting rooms as a product

  1. Login to https://activities.travelcurious.com

  2. Navigate to Product, and then Products 
  3. Click on Create Product
  4. Select how you will manage the Availability of this product. In this case, Time Slot limited (Availabilities are managed by date and periods, every product has availability on selected date and between selected hours.)
  5. Click continue, and Enter:
    1. Name of the room 
    2. Short Description of the room. For example: how many people it can accommodate, dimensions, equipment already provided, etc.
    3. Long Description of the room. Get into details of what is this room usually used for, if different setups are available.
    4. Meeting Point: describe where the room is located
    5. What's Included
    6. What's not Included
    7. Choose the Product Category
    8. Choose the Navigation Item it will fall under
    9. Reservations email that will be notified of each booking
    10. Cancellation policy
    11. Set the Minimum and Maximum number of participants per class
    12. Stop Sale
  6.  Select how you will manage availability. In this case: Time Slots
  7. Pricing Basics:
    1. As this is a class, the pricing will be "Tiered by Participants"
  8. Widget Settings: Leave only a checkmark on "Show Participants"
  9. Availability Management:
    1. Select if you will allow overlapping sessions.
    2. Enter a From price you will show in the product card.
    3. What time does the class start
    4. Enter the duration
  10. Payment Settings:
    1. If you want to charge the guest upon booking, select Capture Card Details and Auto Process Payments.
  11. Click on Save Changes
  12. Once your product has been created, you can click on it to add Images, Files, Extras or Waivers. For image guidelines, click here.
  13. Take a final look at your product, and when you are ready, click on Published and Save Changes.

How to create time slots for your product

  1. Click on Products
  2. Find the Product you want to edit
  3. Click on the icon under the column Price
  4. Click today's date or any other date in the future to start
  5. Enter a Start and End time. 
  6. Enter the starting quantity
  7. Number of participants From/To
  8. Enter a total price
  9. Click on Save Changes
Important
  1. You can charge different pricing based on tiers
  2. To add multiple classes per day, you can click on the + icon on the right

How to clone your availability

  1. After creating your timeslots, click on the 4 outwards arrow icon
  2. Find the Product you want to edit
  3. Click on the icon under the column Price
  4. Click today's date or any other date in the future to start
  5. Enter a Start and End time. 
  6. Enter the starting quantity
  7. Number of participants From/To
  8. Enter a total price

You have successfully created your Cooking Class as a product!
