Creating a Product: Equipment Rental

This guide will help you create equipment rental such as bikes as a product that you can easily manage the inventory for and take automatic bookings.

To create your meeting rooms as a product, follow these steps: 
  1. Login to https://activities.travelcurious.com
  2. Navigate to Product, and then Products 
  3. You will be prompted to select the availability type: in this case, Quantity limited
  4. Click on Create Product and enter:
    1. Name of the product. i.e.: "City on Wheels: Guest's Exclusive Bike Rental" 
    2. Short Description of the product. i.e: "Explore the city with our convenient bike rental service. Enjoy scenic rides and easy access to local attractions directly from our hotel."
    3. Long Description of the product. i.e.: "Discover the city in a unique and entertaining way with our hotel’s bike rental service. Pedal through scenic routes, uncover hidden gems, and experience local attractions at your own pace. Biking offers a refreshing alternative to traditional sightseeing, allowing you to immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant atmosphere while enjoying the freedom to explore off-the-beaten-path locations.
      Our bike rentals are not just convenient but also a healthy way to travel. Skip the traffic and stay active as you navigate the city’s charming streets. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely ride along scenic paths or an adventurous journey through urban landscapes, our bikes provide the perfect means to see the city from a whole new perspective."
    4. Meeting Point: describe where will they get the bicycles from
    5. What's Included
    6. What's not Included
    7. Choose the Product Category
    8. Choose the Navigation Item it will fall under
    9. Reservations email that will be notified of each booking
    10. Cancellation policy
    11. Stop Sale
    12. Minimum and Maximum number of participants if applicable
  5. Manage Availability: this will carry the option you selected as the first step in this process "Quantity"
  6. Pricing:
    1. This section will require for you to choose how will you charge for this product. In this case: "Per Item"
  7. Widget settings: Only select "Show Quantity" and "Show Calendar" for guests to select the date and how many bikes they would like.
  8. Availability Quantity: Enter how many bicycles you have as part of your inventory for renting
  9. Enter the price you will charge for it
  10. Enter the From card that will be shown in the product card.
  11. Starts: What time does this renting start
  12. Duration of the rental
  13. Enter the tax % and gratuity fee %
  14. Payment Settings:
    1. If you want to charge the guest upon booking, select Capture Card Details and Auto Process Payments.
  15. Click on Save Changes.
  16. Once your product has been created, edit it to add Images, Files, Extras or Waivers. For image guidelines, click here.
  17. Take a final look at your product, and when you are ready, click on Published and Save Changes.
You have successfully created your bike rental as a product!
