Creating Your Payment Profile (FreedomPay)

Before you start

  • Have any gateway setup details ready, such as merchant ID, store ID, terminal ID, and others.

Things to Consider

  • If no default payment profile is set, Travel Curious will remain the Merchant of Record when applicable.

  • Payment profiles cannot be deleted. To stop using one, edit its status to “Disabled”.

  • If a default payment profile is set, all new experiences will inherit it.

User steps

1. Open your Activate account

2. Navigate to Accounts and then click on the Payment Profile tab.

3. Click Create Payment Profile: This starts the setup flow for a new payment profile configuration.


4. Enter a Profile Name to easily identify it: "MARSHA Experiences" and click Go.


5. Enter Payment Profile setup details in the secure form shown above.

The exact fields depend on the profile type and gateway, but may include:
  1. Store ID,
  2. Terminal ID,
  3. ES Key,

After completing all the information, click Add.

6. Map your experiences to your Payment Profile

  1. Navigate to Payment Profile Mapping.

  2. Click on Create Payment Rule.

  1. Select the Payment Profile

  2. All Products will be selected by default.

  3. Click on Create Payment Rule

  4. Your payment profile is now ACTIVE and applicable to all your bookable experiences.

Editing a Profile

1. Click on the profile you want to edit.

2. The only editable fields will be:

  • Name

  • Status (If you want to disable it, turn the toggle off)


Once you have an Active payment profile, any bookings you receive from that moment on will flow directly to the payment gateway you have chosen.

For any scheduled charges or manual payments you are taking via a payment link, Travel Curious will still pay you for those in the monthly payout run.
