Hidden Categories and Direct Links

Hidden Categories and Direct Links

Public property pages and standard search results exclude hidden categories and experiences. Guests can access them only through a unique deep link generated in the Marketing Tool.
Hidden links support targeted or restricted offers, including:
  1. Private group activities
  2. Villa-only services
  3. Member benefits and special rates
  4. Invitation-only experiences
  5. Targeted email or direct-message campaigns

When a guest opens a valid link, the hotel page opens with the hidden category available for booking. Without the link, the category and its experiences remain undiscoverable through public navigation and search.

Visibility and status behavior

Scenario: Category is Hidden
The category and associated experiences are excluded from the public property page and search indexing.

Scenario: Active category changes to Hidden
All associated active experiences, including Cabanas, automatically change to Hidden.

Scenario: New product is added to a Hidden category
The product can be published only with Hidden status.

Scenario: Hidden category changes back to Active
Associated experiences remain Hidden until you manually update each experience.

Scenario: Product is assigned to a Hidden category
The experience wizard displays a warning and automatically changes the product status to Hidden.

Important: Re-activating a category does not automatically reactivate its experiences. Review and update each experience deliberately.

How to set it up

  1. In the Activate portal, open the relevant category.
  2. Select Hidden from the status dropdown.
  3. Review the warning that associated experiences will also change to Hidden.
  4. Select Continue to save the change.
  5. Open the Marketing Tool and copy the unique link for the hidden category or experience.
  6. Share the link only with the intended audience through a controlled channel.

Validation and secure distribution

  1. Confirm the category and associated experiences have Hidden status where required.
  2. Verify pricing, availability, booking rules, and operational details.
  3. Generate the correct category or experience deep link in the Marketing Tool.
  4. Test the link in an incognito or private browser window.
  5. Confirm the link opens the intended hidden category or experience.
  6. Distribute the link through a targeted channel, such as direct email or a villa welcome packet.
  7. Security practice: Treat a hidden URL as targeted-access content. Do not place it on publicly searchable pages.
