Internal bookings and reporting
Use the Internal Booking flag when a booking is intended for the hotel or operational use. Internal booking is an attribute of a manual booking, not a separate booking type. i.e.: A conference room being reserved for a staff meeting.
How to apply it
During the manual booking flow, select the internal-booking checkbox and complete the booking normally.
You can confirm that the booking details will show Internal Booking: Yes.
Internal bookings are excluded from the booking report by default, so it doesn't affect your revenue reporting. To include them, click the checkbox next to the source filters so they are added to the booking report.
The report logic is:
- Option disabled: show bookings in the selected period except those marked internal.
- Option enabled: show all bookings in the selected period, including internal bookings.
IMPORTANT: Internal bookings can still have a value. The flag identifies the booking’s operational purpose; it does not automatically determine whether revenue exists.
