How to Cancel and/or Refund a Booking

Cancellations

To be able to cancel a reservation, the user needs to have a Manage or Edit permission for the Booking Module. Viewers cannot perform any actions.

To cancel a reservation, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Activate account: https://activate.travelcurious.com
  2. On your left sidebar, navigate to Bookings.
  3. Search your booking by reference, guest name, email, etc.
  4. Click anywhere on the booking row to open it.
  5. In the lower right-hand corner of the Booking Details tab, you will see a CANCEL button
  6. Click Cancel, select a reason for the cancellation and a note if needed, and click Cancel Booking.
  7. If a refund is due, it will be calculated automatically based on the cancellation policy. Important: Refunds are only due when Travel Curious is the merchant of record.

      








Manual Refunds

If you want to cancel and or refund a booking post delivery date due to quality complaints, no-shows, or any other exception, you can cancel the reservation following the steps above, and then click on REFUND.

You can choose to refund a fixed amount or a percentage of the total booking value.



Important: You can only refund bookings in which Travel Curious is the merchant of record and has captured the funds.

All actions will be logged in the booking history and can be accesed in the Log tab.
